they even say in the auction they print it from a printer???? how can i do this at home so all im paying for is the frame and paper?
can i go to a store like staples? or??

They are printing it from a Good Quality Large Format Printer, They are reasonably expensive printers (around $5000 - $15000, dependant on quality) and then the inks are about $100 on top of that (takes 6-8 inks) then the stock, parts and servicing needs to be taken into consideration also.. (we have these at work) I would suggest finding a printers near you that does large format prints.. they can even do the prints on canvas these days for a more geniune look.. and tell them that you are interested in doing ongoing printing with them, Get a set quote for the Prints according to size and stock you will be printing on and find out how long it will take to print your pictures after you give them the files and Ok to go, (usually I’d say they could do it in a 12 hour turn around) and list the pics on ebay for the minimum bid of the printing and plus 10% extra for your effort and start from there, then when the pic has been bought then call up and get it printed that way you aren’t out of pocket at any stage… Best of Luck!
Hmmm, you´ve got the answer donw there. But, be aware that you will be stealing the art as well.
The photo quality plotters seen there start from very expensive to almost unnafordable for personal use. Photo printers, however, are much more affordable but do not allow you to do large size prints.
Check luminous-landscape.com for printing and printer reviews. It is a very helpful site.
To do it legally, I beleive you would need an authorization from a copyright owner. I doubt it is in “public domain”, though honestly, I am not as sure of copyright issues dealing with fine art, as opposed to photography.
I dont think it would be that different.
Being able to print something, doesnt mean you should.
A couple of other things about the ebay thing. They print a letter of authenticity, with their logo, but it really doesnt mean anything. I can print a letter of authenticity with any photo I scan from a book, or hack off the web. It doesnt legitimize anything. I would rather see something from the artist, or in this case, the artist’s estate, since he died in 1925.
But I could be wrong. Just my opinion.
