I have my eye on a few Jasper Johns pieces. My intention is to frame the print/poster that I buy and hang it in my library for a handsom and professional look (no I am not attempting to make it look real by any means). There are several sites, such as art.com, that sell his work in a poster form but my fear is that the art will look too college dorm room and cheesy and not respectable enough (even when frammed). If anyone out there has bought, frammed, and been pleased with the way posters look on the wall, let me know. I would be interested to hear any negatives that apply as well. Would a smaller print look better than larger (considering that it is a poster, possibly on glossy paper)? Much thanks.

I’m starting an art project about worldwide hunger, and am looking for posters that depict severely malnourished children worldwide. Anyone know where/who I should ask to get these sort of posters?

I’ve been all over the internet, and what I’m looking for is some pin-up art from like the 40’s or 50’s era. The model doesn’t necessarily need to be topless, but that’s the kind I’m looking for right now. Tasteful. Any ideas?

I bought a poster of Van Gogh - Starry Night 2 from Art.com for $2.00. Id like to now bring it to a picture shop and have it framed. It would be sooo much cheaper than buying the picture and the quality is good. Do people ever do this?
The picture itself would cost at least 400 probably if I bought it at a store.

I’m hoping to buy a limited edition print by Marc Chagall on e-bay, and the seller says that the work contains a facsimile signature. What does that mean?

I want to put something in the nursey that will actually be stimulating to my newborn son and not be horrid decor crap with pastels and little animals. I have Dali throughout my upstairs hall and master. Waterhouse in the guest room and assorted others in the living, dining. I had thought of Van Gogh Starry Night or Matisse Goldfish or even some of the Escher color prints. What do you think? I have some 36 x 24 frames ready to go so I am looking for popular stuff that I could find on art.com or allposters.com. Any suggestions appreciated.
