Selling photo prints at art shows but for what price?

I have been doing artistic themed series of prints for a while and when I sell them at auction I don’t have to worry about setting a price. I have sold prints at auction up to 100.00. When I am at a local art show or mixed craft/art show I am unsure what to charge. Can anyone help me? My prints are framed and size 8×10. I do special interest prints. My current series is “Angels and Demons” covering a lot of angel statues, cemetaries, secret society type stuff.

why wouldn’t you charge the same as what you usually get? It’s not good to have different prices for different markets. Eventually that catches up with you and it makes you look like an amateur.

I would look around and see what other’s price there prints and price competively. Do some research on the internet and see what you find.

It seems like the art shows I’ve been to, the photographers sell some note cards for cheap, like $3 a card, then their matted 5×7 and 8×10 are anywhere from $10-$50 and the frame and matted prints are sized 8×10 to 30×40 and larger sometimes and can be priced anywhere from $50-$300+. You know your work , you know what you need to make.

Also, do some research about the place the art fair is being held. You could probably charge more in Boston than you could College Station, TX
