I have sold 16×20 inch hand printed black and white prints, matted but not framed for $800 and up. They have been processed by me from exposure, development, printing (on fiber based paper) and using archival processes throughout including mounting them on acid free mounts.

16×20 colour prints have again been printed by me using Ilfochrome (Cibachrome) and mounted on either foam core or bakelite. These were sold for around $1200 and up … I no longer print using Ilfochrome

You need to assess how much its going to cost you to produce the print, frmae it, matte it, etc…and then come to some conclusions about the profit margin you expect to receive for the effort you put into the process. Do the math and you get your answer.

It probably wouldn’t hurt to do some comparison shopping based on what you are trying to sell.

It honestly depends on how much it cost you and where you will be selling them. You can get more money in a gallery than you will at a small arts and crafts fair. The size of the prints matters as well. Do some research on what similar pieces sell for in your area or where you intend to put them up for sale and price accordingly.
