What is the process of taking a canvas painting and making a print in order to sell? As inexpensively as possible, too…
1 - Can I take a CD of scans or digital photos to kinkos (or staples) to make copies? If not, where else (I do not own a printer)?
2 - What kind of paper should I be looking into? Please be as specific as possible
Any advice would be great. Thanks!

on they have a print section.
They do all the work for you, and you get a profit.
Its a way to start
look into it!
The best way to make prints would be the giclee printing process which is state of the art right behind lithographs and serigraphs but it can be expensive. I have known artists to get prints from a commercial printer and sell them inexpensively…costs about $2 a print and sell for $20 but the quality is lacking. Depending on your style you may want to look into posters as an option or note cards are a good seller in card and gift shops. Hope this helps.
a digital photo is probably fine, depends what you actually want the prints for. you could even probably take them to kinko’s and have them print them on anything. a card stock would be best (thick paper) so people could just stick it up on their wall.
you should also decide if you want them actual size, in proportion or shrunk to fit. if you don’t want it shrunken and you don’t want to have kinkos print on a bigger piece of paper and then cut it try something like
if you’re planning to make a career out of art can i suggest not making prints or making very few. they devalue your work and unless your extremely famous and hand sign them each they aren’t worth more than the paper they’re printed on.
I doubth staples has a art printing section and i’m not sure about kinkos.
You might want to do the giclee process. I.e. reproduce the original on canvas or other paper types using high quality printers. This site offers really reasonable prices and the quality is just grat too.
You might try searching for photo canvas on google or yahoo also.
