Come on we’ve all seen them, it’s almost like a set that comes issued with the dorm rooms, Freshman’s first real art aka “I’m taking Western Civ This semester” art.
That poster which represents the first awakening of something beyond happy clowns, Frank Frazetta’s monsters, or assorted album art. I’m talking the Van Gogh’s Starry Night, Monet’s waterlilies, or Munch’s the Scream. I’m talking the nerdy engineer-down-the-hall’s Escher woodcuts or Bosch’s hell scenes. So tell me, what are the most hackneyed pieces of “fine” art?
